NYT: Redefining the Yard
The New York Times features a really interesting piece on the transformation of a front yard into an edible garden.

I'm amazed how ignorant some people can be. To say that vegetable and fruit plants only belong in the back yard is insane. A person's property is exactly that and if someone chooses to be progressive and interested in water conservation and growing their own food then more power to them. It won't be too far in the future that property values will be increased by the addition of living gardens and not perfectly cut green grass.
